Greetings Virtual readers, how are things where you reside? Are you ecstatic about the regime change in the USSA? Or does it matter to you at all?
No need to answer, I can't hear you.
I suppose there would have been a good time to write about the election in the USSA but I have had my fill of that fucking shitshow.
New boss? Same as the old boss?
No, likely not but the problems remain the same.
If Trump taught any of us any useful "thing" it is that there are a fuck ton of shitty people in the USSA. So, it stands to reason that there are a fuck ton of shitty people everywhere.
After four years of madness, upfront for all to see, nothing has changed with the regime change. Maybe less grifting and a return to politics the way it was meant to be. Seen but not shown.
If, I need to see this thing right here. Then I won't be looking at the really important thing over there. Oh, look, a kitty.
I digress.
Oh, Virtual Reader it is a sad day when one, me, comes face to face with their reality. Not as I think others see it, nor as I see it but actually how it is. It pains me to understand fully that I have become like my father. Not in the sense of familiarity, instead, in the sense of the world around me and my place in said world.
My dad is ninety-four years old and is still spry mentally if not physically.
He understands this world as much as he can. Less than I do but that is a rapidly changing percentage.
You see, I often have referred to my dad as a dinosaur. A being who has only evolved so far and then just manages to keep on drawing breath. But, before you go all 2021 on me I did not maliciously say this, it is simply the truth.
He was born in nineteen-twenty-seven if my math is correct and I'm not counting on that, and he has seen the changes up to now. But does he comprehend those changes? Fuck no. And he isn't supposed to.
So what happens when the way you were raised, the things that you were taught to be morally right and even honourable are no longer in play?
The way you were instructed to handle any given situation is absolutely the exact wrong way to handle any given situation now?
The inability to defend your loved ones or yourself because the perpetrators against you have more rights than you do.
When speaking the truth is misconceived as an afront by way of racism or religious condemnation.
I'll tell you what happened in my case. I woke up one day, a dinosaur. A relic of a past not that long ago and I didn't even know it happened.
If you are thinking this is where I attack a certain creed or religion or sexual orientation or any other human condition you will be disappointed.
I have no issue with humans being and doing human things. Love who you want, pray to who you want, be who you feel you are meant to be.
Do no harm but take no shit. I believe this.
I believe this even though I know this is not the way that it is. I believe that we all have the right to be who we are without fear of recrimination. Alas, the world and our society don't work that way. They just don't.
There truly is no one to blame, just a nameless, faceless corporate beast that operates in the shadowy, grey areas. The endless stream of disembodied voices demanding our attention to this one thing for fifteen minutes. If you aren't decrying this person for their belief then you ain't woke. Woke? What the fuck does that mean? Because the majority of sheeple believe this thing, this one thing, it makes it so?
The old saying that life is a bitch and then you die is thrown out there so much that it is relatable but isn't it derogatory to bitches everywhere?
If I was going to call a thing a bitch, it would be perspective. Perspective is a bitch and according to some people's perspective, you never die. Well blow me dry and call me dusty that is a horrible thought.
So in this ever-changing but rarely evolving landscape, how does a dinosaur exist? How do I continue forward without always swinging for the fences?
When I was growing up, if someone was being an asshole you could just say, you are an asshole. Or, shut the fuck up. This either invoked the intended response or it invoked an altercation. Either way, the situation resolved itself and everyone moved on.
Try that today in this "woke" society of ours. I don't mean online where there is no end to keyboard warriors eating pizza pockets, in their underwear while their mother calls down for them to wipe their ass better because the shit marks are impossible to clean.
I mean try this at work, or in the grocery store. Try this in any situation where the person you have a problem with is staring you in the face. Because we are so "woke", let me be clear. I don't mean picking on someone because they are different, I mean if somebody is being an asshole to you, or your family, or a stranger.
Do no harm but take no shit.
I caution you, Virtual Reader, this is a course that more often than not, will land you in not "woke" jail. You will be a pariah, an outcast, a leper, unclean.
Thanks to Donaldson for those choice words.
The reason for this is because no matter if you intend to just have that asshole shut up, regardless of any other reason than, you want that asshole to shut up, there will be other reasons.
I've said this before and I'll say it again, to the point where you will tell this Asswhole to shut up, human beings, any and all, have the propensity to be assholes.
So, regardless of race, creed, religion, sex, identifier there will be assholes who deserve to be told to shut the fuck up.
Will it make a difference if you tell them? Probably not. But what does it get us if we don't tell them to shut the fuck up? Nothing, something? Hell, I don't know, I guess this outcome will be tailor-made to the individual.
My point, which I am lumbering toward, is that it is possible to not like a human being because they are a shitty human being. That's it. There doesn't have to be an underlying, hidden reason.
I mean, the Tyrannosaurus Rex didn't like any other dinosaurs or anyone else and look how well that turned out.
Now let me get back to Tik Tok so I can see the best of "woke" humanity.
